Priority will be given to long bookings. The minimum booking period between Christmas and New Year is 7 nights. The minimum booking period for the Easter weekend is 4 nights. Special events weekends are subject to the terms and conditions determined by the event organizers and subject to the resort’s terms and conditions. Shorter periods might be considered subject to availability.

Mid-Season/ Out of Season

Minimum 2 nights stay in chalets over weekends and the full period over long weekends.

Bookings from persons under 18 Years cannot be accepted. Only families and couples are allowed.

*  Check-in is at 14:00 ONLY, If you would like to enter the resort before 14:00 , an additional Day Visitor Fee will apply.

2. Deposits

A deposit of 50% of the account including VAT is payable on or before the due date to confirm the booking.

The booking reference number is the payment reference number for paying deposits.

The deposit payment must occur on or before the date stipulated on the resort’s booking request form to secure the booking.

Failure to pay the deposit by the due date will lead to the cancellation of the booking without prior notice.

4. Vacation Procedure

The balance of the account is preferably due before arrival. Pre-payment of the total amount is required for the holidays taken during peak months. The due date for the full amount is stated on the invoice. The Resort reserves the right to cancel bookings, without contacting the client beforehand, if the payment conditions are not adhered to. Vacation times for our Chalets are 10h00, extension requests are subject to availability.

3. Accounts

If a guest should vacate a chalet before Berg River Resort (BBR) staff are afforded the opportunity to check the inventory, the guest may be held liable for any shortages and or damages unless the occurrence of such damages can be attributed to any circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

In the event of such damages not being covered by the breakage deposit received from the guest, BBR will reserve the right to hold the guest liable for the difference between such breakage deposit and the actual damages incurred by BBR.
