Pensioners Discount
10% of the total stay for guests 60 years and older. Additional accompanying guests, that are not pensioners pay the normal fee. Pensioners rates do not apply over Easter and December/ January school holidays.
Our Chalets
Berg River Resort is an 11-hectare establishment located on the banks of the beautiful Berg River. We share our home with various bird species that breed and fish in our waters. Berg River Resort is centrally situated in the beautiful Winelands, 60km northeast of Cape Town, between the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch mountain ranges. We are surrounded by beautiful Wine Farms and we have views of the Stellenbosch and Jonkershoek Mountain Ranges. Berg River Resort was established by the family for families. The Establishment has 13 comfortable, open plan and two bedroomed family chalets that overlook the Bergriver and 2 that are situated by the pool area. Our guests can enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee from their stoep over the lush green laws, with views of the Berg River. A and B-style chalets with various layouts. An A-style chalet has 2 bedrooms with an open-plan kitchen/ lounge. A B-style is an open-plan layout.
A - Style Chalets
Family chalet sleeps 2 adults & up to 3 or 4 children. 2 Bedrooms with an open-plan kitchen and lounge.
B - Style Chalets
The Family chalet sleeps 2 adults and up to 2 children. Open-plan room with seperate bathroom.
Self-Catering Accommodation
The safety of our guests and staff is our priority. With this in mind, operational protocols for facilities published by the TBCSA (Tourism Business Council of South Africa) have been implemented at Berg River resort.
- Arrival time between 14:00 and 18:00 extended to 19:00 on Fridays. No late arrivals.
- Day visitor fees will be payable for early arrivals.
- Departure time is 10:00.
- The chalets must be booked in advance and must be confirmed with a deposit.
- Please bring swimming and bath towels and braai grids.
- Please take note, NO Drop-offs are permitted

Caring for the Environment
Please note that we are trying to do our bit to reduce our carbon footprint by recycling the glass from the refuse collected. For this purpose, we have glass recycling containers spread throughout the Resort. We urge all our guests to support this endeavour by using these containers to dispose of their used glassware while staying at the Resort.

Great picnic spot. The children enjoy every minute. The river is very popular. Clean & well maintained. Impressed that the resort recovered so fast after the floods. Keep up the good work guys

Im a person who loves to cook.. Their snappy chef stoves and cook ware were the best. Chalet A had everything we needed. Have been to a few places from Langebaan to Witsand but they take the 6 ✴️ rating. Thank you for a good time. Staff also very helpful and friendly ❤️❤️
Water is alot more shallow, probably as a result of the heavy rains we had, but goodness me that river is amazing and I had the time of my life, in fact I booked again on the same I left 😀
