Attractions

Berg River Resort is between the towns of Paarl and Franschoek and are both historic towns. Paarl with its modern conveniences such as a shopping mall, a cinema, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, wine farms and medical facilities. There are fine art galleries, historical buildings including the Taal Monument and Language Museum. Other attractions include the Drakenstein Lion Park, Giraffe House, Acrobranch at Joosenberg deli, Butterfly World and Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm. There are lovely walks in the Paarl Mountain Wild Flower Reserve  and the Arboretum. Cellar tours and wine tasting are offered at KWV, Wilderers Schnapps distillery and craft beer at Cape Brewing Company. Traditional Cape cuisine can be enjoyed at Boschendal or visit Babylonstoren’s magnificent garden and restaurant.
